Howard Lake, MN: Painted cabinetry is a timeless and classic look and with transitional styling surging in popularity, painted cabinetry is more popular than ever before. According to Karen Wistrom, ASID, NCIDQ, CMG, VP of Sales & Marketing for Dura Supreme Cabinetry, “White painted cabinetry is a classic choice and works with so many different style preferences, from traditional to transitional and contemporary. Although white paint is the most popular choice, homeowners and designers are designing with shades of white and gray to blend beautifully and seamlessly throughout an entire home.”
Dura Supreme offers an entire palette of painted cabinetry finishes and with the Company’s new Personal Paint Match Program, the entire Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore paint palettes of over 5,000 colors are available for Dura Supreme cabinetry. Wistrom explained, “Even though white and shades of white are the most popular choices, there are areas like a bathroom, powder room, kitchen island or a hutch that a homeowner may select with a more dramatic or daring color palette.”
For the Personal Paint Match, the Sherwin Williams paint color simply needs to be selected and Dura Supreme will create a cabinetry paint sample for the designer and homeowner to review. Once that color is approved by the homeowner, Dura Supreme then builds and finishes the cabinetry to match. The new Personal Paint Match program is available in all of Dura Supreme’s product lines.
Designers are often asked about color trends and how to incorporate them into newly designed or renovated interiors. And although trends and fashion should be taken into consideration, that should not be the only deciding factor. “Something as simple as being able to select the perfect shade of white that complements the countertop and tile and works well in a specific lighting situation can be harder than it sounds when you don’t have the right selection. Our new Personal Paint Match Program makes that process so much easier,” explained Wistrom.
