This kitchen and living room renovation involved Michels Homes, Studio M Interiors designer Jami Ludens, and our kitchen and bath designer Megan Dent, AKBD at Studio M Kitchen & Bath, Minnesota. Megan’s Dura Supreme cabinetry designs elevated the spaces aesthetically and maximized each room’s storage and functionality.
These clients wanted to open up their sectioned-off main living space to expand the size of the kitchen. This additional space allowed Megan to add a large kitchen island with seating for five. The traditional-style interior selections were complemented nicely by the combination of Dura Supreme’s Mocha stained Cherry cabinetry and the warm, creamy white Personal Paint Match finish to Benjamin Moore’s “Muslin” painted finish. The kitchen also features a 48” range, 24” paneled refrigerator and freezer, and two large pantry cabinets.
Among the many storage solutions included in the kitchen design is this convenient spice drawer adjacent to the range.
Two 36” refrigerator drawers keep beverages chilled and at arm’s reach.
The goal of the living room design was to have a truly unique fireplace that complimented the homeowners’ art collection. To accomplish this interior designer Jami book-matched a slab of Honey Onyx as the showpiece for the fireplace.
Megan designed a wall of built-in cabinetry around this show stopper to provide a place for the TV and, most importantly, plenty of room to display the homeowners’ collection of treasures.
The collaboration from the kitchen design to interior design to construction came together seamlessly to create a truly stunning home. Our clients are absolutely in love with their newly remodeled home!
